Wired to Learn Contest Winners Enjoy Their Computers
Several months ago, we ran the Intel AppUp® center Wired to Learn Contest. We asked parents, teachers and administrators to nominate a school that could best benefit from a technology package from Intel. Our second prize winner was Arco Iris, a Spanish immersion school. Before they won the contest, they had just five laptops for their entire student body.
Arco Iris reached out to their community and garnered more than 6,000 votes to win second prize. So what are they doing with their technology package? Read their terrific post “Loving our new computers – thank you Intel” for the answer.
Thank you to Arco Iris for participating in the Intel AppUp Download Contest and for keeping us up-to-date on your students’ progress!

Thanks John for your post! These computers were an amazing and well needed addition for our students and our staff. As a small public charter school working with extremely limited funds, we truly needed them to establish our first “lab” for the kids. Our students are treating them with the utmost care and respect because they too understand how much we needed them and how our community rallied together in this contest for their benefit. Thank you again Intel!
