Free Productivity App Wunderlist Manages and Syndicates To-Dos
Until last week, I had three to-do lists going at work (I’m choosing not to think about the handwritten to-do list on the fridge my wife Leyla has or the list of home improvement tasks I have floating around in my head.) My work to-do lists took three forms – my task list in Outlook, OneNote and multiple note pad files. And guess what…I was missing tasks. (For the record, sticky notes are not a reasonable organization tool!)
I decided to clean up and organize my task lists (this excludes Leyla’s list – I no longer work with pen and paper) with the free productivity app, Wunderlist. Wunderlist is wunderful. Or wonderful, depending on your location. In fact, Gizmodo voted it one of the "10 Best Productivity Apps of 2010."
Wunderlist syncs all of my tasks across all of my devices and it allows me to share these tasks with my colleagues. It also has easy drag and drop sorting and I can assign deadlines (can’t drag and drop on paper). Thanks to the Mail2Task feature, I can send tasks to Wunderlist from my email too.
So far, it’s helped me stay on task and to meet my deadlines. In fact, right after I write this post, I get to remove “Write App Life blog post” from my tasks.
What are your productivity strategies? How do you manage your tasks?
