Five Great Apps for Kids
Kids ran the show yesterday at Intel®. Hundreds of parents brought their kids to Intel so the kids could check out the cool things mom and dad are working on. There were demos and classes and robots. Yes, robots. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome for the grownups too. The kids who visited the Intel AppUp® center team got to try out some great apps on cool mobile tech. In fact, AppUp center apps helped keep Paula W’s niece and my manager’s two kids entertained during a meeting. I was the guy presenting at the meeting and I was a little nervous about having three kids there, but they plopped down with their PC’s and started clicking away.
At home, my kids love checking out the Intel AppUp center and trying new games and education apps. Here are their favorites:
1. LEGO Star Wars Space Runner (Free): Star Wars and LEGOs. What else does a kid need?
2. Angry Birds ($4.99): Flinging a bird out of a slingshot on a big computer monitor never gets old.
3. SuperWhy ($9.95): Yep, the Education Preparation Station this summer is still going strong thanks to SuperWhy.
4. Glow (Free): Create your own fantastic glowing artwork. My daughter is really into art, and anything that glows is always cool.
5. Zoomumba (Free): Build and run your own zoo with cute baby animals. My kids love the zoo. Creating their own zoo (with my help) is stuff my kids dream about.
What apps are your kids loving right now?
