I would give this 5 stars if you could shop for books in the application and if you could download free books without giving a credit card. Reader is really nice, easy to read, plenty of options

I was really excited and filled in all my details to download my first free book but then after everything it turns out you can't order unless you have a US billing address. A little 'heads-up' could have saved me a let down.

I've already got the Nook for iPhone app and this app is nicely set up for use on a netbook or PC. The controls are intuitive so its easy to use and I can now read my books in my library on my laptop too. The only thing that would be good to add would be the ability to browse and buy ebooks from within the app rather than getting sent to the web for that part. That's not too much of pain when you're using a netbook/PC but is for the phone version.

Very clean font and zoomable in the Windows 7 Application. Images in color, But without text to speech I doubt I will use this much. I listen to most text so I can do other things at the same time and not stare at a screen. Iven if I have to scan a whole book in. With OCR enabled I can search for words in a scanned PDF but also just select and speak it in several text to speach applications, Coolspeak etc. The Nook hardware reader has a very good implimentation in male & Female voices and speed

This is a very nice reader, but is out of date. In particular the links lead to "page not found". The latest version fixes these annoyances and can be found at the Barnes and Noble web site.

i tried several different ebook apps and none of them worked on app up. this app wold not load the pages, it showed a busy sign for 5 minutes. i would reccomend getting on amazon and downloading the kindle for pc app for free because it actually works, and well.

Installed once from AppUp. Program launched but would not show me any books from b&n until I set up an account. After this first time, the program stopped launching from shortcut and menu item. I uninstalled and re-installed but it did not launch again. The experience with AppUp was not better than the experience if I just go to b&n.com and download. In fact it was more frustrating since I have to log in to AppUp.

iv got this app on two of my laptops easy to use and easy to read. the nook doesnt give you too many options for the letter size. my brothers are constantly using my second laptop for reading my books and theirs. would recoment for everyony.

After my intial launch of the Nook app it would no longer launch through AppUp nor the shortcut installed on desktop. even afyer several uninstalls, it never launched again. It was a good idea bit I am actualy sorry I wasted the time to download this. I do not recommend it to you

This app does not need to have wifi to read your book! Although i think it does need wifi to buy your books and i think you have to have a barnes and noble accoount to buy books too. But anyway this app is awesome to get and it's free! It can't get any better than that!

downloaded this app then it wouldnt open, so i uninstalled and attempted to reinstall to see if that would fix the issue.. Wont even reinstall says three is an error. until they fix this I will not change the one star rating. If i could give it no stars I would

I installed this app and was able to get it to work once on my Win 7, 64 bit pc. After that I cannot get the app to start. Pretty crappy testing IMHO.
