Very good and free
I love Libre Office, it's far way better than Open Office and a real and legal alternative for those of us who cannot afford or don't want to buy expensive Microsoft products :)

If your entire office will use this & you don't send docs to Word users, it's fine. However, I created a doc in LibraOffice, saved in it .docx format, and opened it in Word 2010 with poor results. The cells of my table were much higher in Word, and every paragraph had an additional 10-point space after it, including every item in my bulleted list. Since I began writing with Windows 3.0 and the early Microsoft Office back in the late 1980s, I have spent over a thousand dollars simply upgrading Word. But Word has become a ridiculous bloatware package that gets in the way of my writing. Some will disagree, but although I own the latest Microsoft Office, I have stopped using it entirely; first in favor of Open Office, and now Libre Office. Both use the Open Document format and, for my purposes, are completely interchangeable. My books are 10
Still shows version 3.6 current as of 2013-02-21 (version 4.0 has been released) and is missing default extensions such as the Nonlinear Solver.
