Conception of Gilli Danda comes from an Indian traditional game called gilli danda. It is an amateur game also known as Tip-Cat in some regions of the world. This game comprises of a long stick called Danda and a smaller billet of wood called ‘Gilli’.
In order to play you would need a pointing device like mouse, to click on the hand of the player so as to bump the wooden billet into air. While the wooden billet is in air, the on-screen player’s hand is to be clicked again in order to strike the billet and make it fly as far as possible. Just in case you are too focused on clicking on the hand of the player, try clicking on the player as well. It works equally well!
