Local Recon
Local Recon doesn't fool around. Like no other local search or navigation LR reports on your whole agenda at once with GPS accuracy. Maybe you're Shopping, in Business Mode, or have a Personal Day - press the button, see your choices. All the places that have any of the items or activities you need. All arranged by what's closest to you! Login to tune the choices or make your own profiles, with your own favorites - favorite dish, kind of bar, special interest to shop or visit.
Just set your location, then Explore! Includes friend locater, too. (Current version has USA only data; optimized for tablets and netbooks.)

Seems like all the pay apps or big names get all the attention, and this one is free, and finds stuff very easily. I like this kind of search.

I found Local Recon to be a refreshing, new idea for an application. What sets this application above other navigation applications and web pages is that the user does not need to know what they're looking for before using the application. For example, after clicking the "explore" button, the category "Personal Day" grabbed my attention. This category showed me everything from massage, coffee and free WiFi spots near me, to spas, salons, psychic spots and yoga classes. My favorite option, howev
